The Salinas Group, through its member organizations, carries out social projects in different areas. The main idea is to cover different areas related to the needs of the communities of Salinas de Guaranda.
Greenhouse Project

Description
Technical advice is provided for the cultivation of vegetables and marketing them through family baskets with the voucher project.
Goats Project

Reintroduction of other animals for the production of milk and derivatives as new sources of income for families.

Technical advice is provided for the production of cheese, yogurt, dairy products and meat.
Sheep Project

Activities
- In Yacubiana sheep are raised only for milk and wool production.
- In Natawa for milk, wool and meat.
- In Salinas and San Francisco for meat and wool.

Proposal
20 New Zealand corridale breed sheep donated by the Vice-Prefecture of Pichincha for genetic improvement in the production of meat, wool and milk. In Rincón de los Andes, Pambabuela, La Palma, Yurak Uksha, San Vicente and Pachancho.
Voucher Project
Place
Salinas (Salinas center, Natawa, Chaupi, Verdepamba, Yacubiana, Mulidiahuan, Chazojuan, Congreso, Tigreurko, Yurak Uksha), Simiatug (Enersin, Simiatug Samay, Allago, Santa Teresa, Pambuloma), Facundo Vela.

Delivery of food baskets once a month.

Crafts Project

Marketing of handicraft products.

Description
Production of key chains, bracelets, baskets, placemats, indigenous pieces. Support in marketing and training in sales, entrepreneurship, development of new products, market research, production capacity, quality.

Youth Residence Project

It welcomes children from low-income families so that they can study at the Milenio Salinas Educational Unit and in the afternoon they receive Salesian-style training (study, work, sport and spiritual formation).

Pastoral Project of Evangelization

Activities
- Coordinate and teach catechesis in Salinas and its communities.
- Celebrations of sacraments in coordination with the parish priests.
- With the MJS youth group of Salinas, lead the oratories in the communities.
- Organize monthly training meetings for the animators.
- Coordinate regional and national meetings of youth groups.
- Encourage and coordinate the collaboration of all members of the Salesian community in the Pastoral Project.
- Provide the material means for pastoral action, as well as its renewal and updating.
